The company is a progressive and rapidly expanding localization company specializing in e-learning courseware and now is the fourth largest localisation services company in the world. Reporting to the Vice President, Production - the Project Manager works on a diverse range of client accounts and manages all aspects of the project from kick-off to scheduling, budget and financing through to project realization and quality control.

After successful realization of 3 large accounts was tasked with taking on and turning around one of the companies largest accounts which had experienced difficulties during the previous year's project cycle. This turnaround was complete and was instrumental in the successful receipt of a large amount of additional business from the client.

Some of the project highlights are as follows:

  • Improvement of overall project financial margins by 10%.
  • Shortened turnaround of project elements.
  • Reduction in graphics resources by 25% while maintaining overall throughputs. " Reduction in client reported alterations to submitted material and achievement of edit-free supplier standard for the project.
  • Achievement of 90% delivery of project elements within 3 days of projected delivery date and 110% deliveries as planned according to pre-agreed quarterly delivery matrixes.

Other highlights of Project Management role include:

  • Assigned Project Manager for sample translation projects which would be delivered to clients to secure further business. These mini-projects required rapid turnaround, with the highest quality standards and detailed follow-up.
  • Project Manager Representative for ISO: Tasked with updating and maintaining ISO9000:2000 standard documents which reflected best practice procedure for Project Management for the complete company.
  • Simultaneous management of 3 separate localization projects with differing priorities and deadlines. Coordination of all three projects which required 7 separate vendors.
