The role involved the organisation and administration of all aspects related to the work of a team of graphics artists and DTP operators.

The main duties include:

• scheduling graphics and DTP production,
• evaluation of new projects,
• recruitment and HR within the team,
• training and
• liasing with management on team and production issues.

I was also responsible for both proactive and reactive problem solving within the team on a range of matters from quality and process matters to hardware and software set-up.

I expanded the team from an initial size of 2 to its present complement of 10. I put in place an intensive training program to enable the team to handle a diverse range of material, and we have localised graphics and DTP material for a range of clients including Oracle, Delmar Publishing, McGraw-Hill, Mindleaders, Skillsoft and Microsoft.
