About us...
We are a girls secondary school, run under the auspices of the religious order of the Sisters of Mercy. We are situated at O'Connell Ave., Limerick, Ireland. The school is close to Punch's Cross on the Cork/Killarney Road, just South of Limerick City. Our student numbers are about 550, with a teaching and administrative staff of about 50. We cater for students taking the Leaving and Junior Certificate Examinations, the Leaving Certificate Applied, and the Transition Year Programme.

Our educational facilities include two kitchens, two science labs, a music room, computer room, art room, assembly hall, twenty two classrooms, a library, a lecture room and a full size gymnasium.

Fundraising for a new school extension is now under way with the help of our hard-working Parent's Council. They recently organised a very successful fundraiser at the Limerick Greyhound Track. We are grateful to them for their continued hard work on behalf of Scoil Carmel.
