Picture of the Scouts on the MPC Munster 2006The Scout Section offers young people the opportunity to experience fun, adventure and challenge designed to meet their needs.

Scouts work as members of a Patrol within a Scout Troop. They work with the assistance and guidance of Scout Leaders to experience the joys of Scouting.

The activities normally undertaken by the Scouts include hiking, hostelling, abseiling, camping, bowling, swimming, canoeing, dry slope skiing, etc., to highlight just a few.

Scouts may choose to challenge themselves and test their proficiency in a chosen skill. This is possible by taking part in a series of challenges as part of the progress scheme or by competing for a merit badge in their chosen subject.

Scouts meet every Monday night from 7pm to 9.30pm in 91st Scout Den, Oblate Fathers, Inchicore. The Leadership consist of Shane Briggs, David Carter and Kevin Gough. This year the Scout Troop wentto Gillwell Park beside London for their Annual Camp
