My   Amazing Award

I received a letter in school from the INTO  announcing that I came first place in the INTO-EBS handwriting competition, category 3.
When the class was writing for the competition, I was trying to win like everyone else, but it's not about winning, it's about taking part.
I had to go to the presentation in the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport on Tuesday 23rd March at 7.00p.m. and I received a certificate and a great game called Trivial Pursuit.
Nobody has ever come 1st 2nd or 3rd in this school until now. I was delighted when I heard this.

Traffic  Warden's  March

In the St. Patrick's Day parade, our schools traffic wardens marched with Bro. Sebastian from the top of Convent Hill to the cathedral in their yellow coats.  "It was class. The people didn't know what we were; they thought we were yellow men."
On the 20th of April, B. Morrison, S. Lavelle, C. Lavelle, M. and K. Duffy accepted an award for Scoil Padraig. The award was presented for marching in the St. Patrick's Day parade and was held in Bartra House Hotel at 9pm. They also received a merit award and 150 euros worth of computer software for the school.

Our First Confession

On Tuesday 23rd March we made our first confession.  It was in St Patrick's church. Fr. Holmes was the celebrant.  We did a play called The Good Shepherd.  Mrs. Casey played the keyboards.  Mrs. Hickey conducted the choir.  We sang songs and did lots of readings. Bro. Sebastian gave us a lighted candle.  We brought them home. We are happy.
