Another fantastic behind the scenes featurette. This time we see the making of the basketball scenes for Special Version. Honestly, I could watch this kind of raw behind the scenes footage for hours! It's another worthwhile extra and one that I have since watched a lot.

I'm a fan of Tarantino, Pulp Fiction is one of my all-time favourite movies but I have to wonder why he's on a trailer for BR. I know that Fukasaku has been an influence on his filmmaking style in the past and yes, it does make sense to have him give his opinion on BR. But in the space of something like 2 seconds he has to speak, I couldn't understand what the hell he saying! In fact, I'm still not sure! Here's a picture of his mug anyway... ^_^

Easter Eggs Ahoy!
In what came as a complete suprise to me, there's actually more on the disc than is listed on the back. On each of chapter menus, under the relative chapters is the option to see the monitors that the military used to monitor the students. You see where everyone is and who's still alive. There's nine of these plus the neckcollar and map backgrounds during the Oneesan scene. It's a nice little addition and handled extremely well.
