A DERRY LEGEND!

As a boy, John Porter could not afford to join his native diocese of Derry. He wrote to Fr Ciantar, a Salesian he had met visiting schools in N.Ireland and told him the story. "Come along, and pay what you can" was the reply. He joined the Salesians, went to Argentina in 1937 and for over 66 years made the same dream come true for young men in Ecuador and all over South America. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a ainm flaithiúlach!
