STRESS TIPS

    1. Talk It Out:

Women are generally better at this than men. It is important for everyone to remember that a trouble shared is a trouble halved.
Bottling it up is disastrous. Communicating with others about what is troubling us is a way out of unhealthy isolation and provides us with much-needed support and encouragement.

    2. Learn To Say ‘No’:

Many of us are too quick to say ‘yes’ and end up taking on too many commitments for the time we have available. When we promise too quickly, we end up feeling angry at ourselves and others, resentful of some of the obligations we have taken on and harassed by the need to fulfil our promises. Cut down on your commitments by learning to say ‘no’ more often, and especially to those commitments you really do not want to make.

    3. Eat Properly:

If our bodies are to deal with stress, we must provide them with proper nourishment. A wholesome diet is essential, as are regular meals. Junk and convenience foods should be cut down to the minimum. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Not only do they provide plenty of energy, but they are also high on fibre, minerals and vitamins. Eat slowly and chew your food. Avoid caffeine and alcohol and where possible drink eight glasses of water a day.

    4. Keep Active:

It cannot be stressed enough that exercise is vital for good health and well-being. Young people should take an active part in a variety of sports. At the very least everybody should exercise by having a brisk walk four or five times a week for at least half an hour. In addition, to keep you aerobically fit, competitive sport is a healthy way to get rid of high levels of aggression.
