Spelling Tests can be great
fun so long as we get most of them correct, and so long as the
result reflects the work we have put in. Used insensitively, however,
(for example, where children are continually getting
2 out of 10 correct), Spelling Tests can simply reinforce
failure in the task and failure in the child.
