The 19th Cúirt International Festival of Literature 2004
Cúirt By The Sea, Music and Gala Reading on Inisheer, the Aran Islands

As part of this year’s Cúirt, a music and gala reading will take place at Áras Éanna in Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands on Saturday 24th April. Taking part will be Jaan Kaplinski, one of Europe’s finest poets; Dara Ó Conaola, Aran writer and poet; Robyn Rowland AO, an Australian poet who has spent much time in Ireland; Piotr Sommer, a leading Polish leading poet and translator; Lasairfhíona Ní Chonaola, the well known Aran singer, with musical accompaniment from Cecile Uí Ghormaile.

Depart Galway: Bus leaves from Kinlay House, Merchants Road at 9.30am to connect with island boat, departing Rossaveal at 10.30am.
Arrive Inisheer: 11.45am. Venue: Áras Éanna, Inisheer.
Depart Inisheer: 4.30pm. Arrive Rossaveal: 5.45pm. Arrive Galway: 6.30pm.
