"A Tortured Soul"

The animation we created on a 1 meg Commodore Amiga using the Deluxe Paint Animation 2.

I was experimenting in creating a movie short for a Computer Art night class I was attending at the time.

I spent a week putting this together for the final project of the course. There wasn't much time to complete the piece, hence the use of silhouettes throughout.

The story is based on a Vietnamese man who has suffered as a result of an Army massacre at his village.

I later want on to storyboard and create a Tortured Soul II (also on this site), which tells the story of one of the soldiers who took part in said massacre.

The finished animation existed only on video tape so I had to capture this on to my p.c. to allow conversion to avi format (and addition of audio track). This final capture was edited in Adobe Premiere 6.
