Not really a big fan of remakes, especially when the first outing made for a good movie. This remake follows the original film staring Burt Reynolds (co-stars in this) very closely, which is why it works on most levels. Sandler is likeable in the lead role a sthe guy with new friends or family or makes it on the inside. Funny and simple popcorn fun. Worth a rent on a Saturday night, but you will forget it before the end credits finish. Entertaining.
