In short; why did they bother? The only resemblance to the '80's show is the use of characters and locations. The show cheapens the film and the film cheapens the memory of the show.

I was sure this was a sure fire good movie. Fox, Farrell and Mann in the drivers seat. The script is boring and about as exciting as watching a dull TV episode. Too much talking and not enough action. Remember than Man is responsible for both Heat and Collateral (amazing scene in nightclub), it is even less forgivable; because you expectations are justified.

Too much dialogue and not enough of an interesting story on show here. Predictable as hell. Writers should have watched an episode of Prison Break (I know they get more time for development and back story, but!!!).

As I said, they shouldn't have bothered. Another nail in the coffin of Farrell's career: boy he needs a break. Fox is presently too hot be be effected.
