This page was added to just include "anything" of interest to me at the moment (no matter the subject).

Bit of a more positive approach to publicity:

Looks like a great movie: New trailer here: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=VBb0JHJRK8k

Some of the best marketing I've seen for a movie. A lot could be learned from this approach.

Great new advertisement campaign to make drivers think of speed: "It's 30 for a reason"

Again it' s you-tube, so ignore the human horror comments at the bottom of the video. Or leave your own.

Excellent live performance and lyrics by Pink. If your not a fan, may change your mind. here. Just ignore the ridiculous and childish comments at the bottom of the clip.

Fans of the series 24: have a look at this (Funny)

Like Comedy short films? Check this one out on Google Video here. Bit adult in subject matter. But very funny and excellent production.

Love the new Gears of War trailer. Images mixed with the old Tears for Fears track "Mad World". Download from Marketplace. Was really impressed with the 720p images. Finally a high definition video that looks high definition - a lot of them appear to be standard definition running in high def mode. Basically looking rubbish.

Someone moded a Xbox 360 into a Laptop. Must have taken an insane amount of work. But take a look:

On the subject of Bush. Have a look at this movie "Death of a President". More here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_a_President and here http://www.apple.com/trailers/newmarket/deathofapresident/

Caused a bit of a stir. Why?

Well "Conceived as a fictional TV documentary broadcast in 2008, reflecting on another monstrously despicable and cataclysmic event: the assassination of President George W. Bush on October 19th, 2007. The “documentary” combines archival footage and carefully composed interviews, presented in a respectful and dignified manner."

Now you see why. Documentary style filming with a killer "controversial" concept.

Check it out.

Yet another reason to love Google:

  • To xbox360 or to not xbox360?
[Computers-and-Technology:Games] I finally gave into the "evils" of Microsoft and invested in their Next Generation console. Why. the delay in ps3 coupled with the delay in Ghost Recon on PC. The more reviews I read, the more it convinced me that 360 was made up of excellent hardware that was finally being used.

Interesting idea........ Donate $8 to help get this Museum finished.

United States: National Slavery Museum

Why $8?
$8  8 is the shape both of shackles (the symbol of slavery) and, if turned on its side, of infinite freedom.

$8  is an amount that allows every American to be a part of this incredible project.

$8  buys recognition for millions of enslaved African Americans who helped build America.

$8  is rewarded with an advance ticket to the Museum’s exclusive opening preview (valued at $25).

$8  will help remove shackles that have divided our nation and replace them with a new symbol for a united America.

Interesting site (for movie lovers or makers)

Impossible Mission?

I see Paramount are looking to continue the mission impossible franchise after dropping Tom Cruise. They seemed to blame Cruise for costing them 100-150 million in ticket sales because of his "very" public outbursts.

The replacement? Brad Pitt. Who would make 20 million + from the deal. So they have decided to sack a star for making a fool of himself and replace him with a Star that made a fool of someone else (his own wife).

Should leave Hunt die with Cruise and look for a better scapegoat for loss of ticket sales in the future (DVD, rising ticket costs, story.....).

One Idea would be to actually use the best theme tune in movie history actually in the bloody film. Used REALLY well in the first, then they forgot about it in the next two. Plenty of great action scenes in MI3 to match the music, but was it used.....No

To HD or to BLUERAY?

Still not convinced with the whole High Definition video revolution. I have tried 720i videos on the Xbox 360 and to be honest, up close that look a lot worse than a standard TV/DVD image. Only really look good if you have a big HD screen and don't stand up close. So what's the benefit? I'm not sure as the video images look highly pixallated and poorly coloured.

Graphic images through a pc or Xbox at high def are fine (graphically). But watching downloaded HD music videos and trailers look terrible....

Is this another way to get you to buy "yet another" copy of that movie on another format as well as replace you TV, player, recorder etc) Looks like it. But why bother when the present equipment is now SO cheap and easy to use. Progression is good, but it needs to actually be progression first.

Check this out. Brilliant:

Loose Change?

Being that it is the fifth year anniversary of 911. It may be worth taking a look at a documentary created by some young Americans: loosechange 911. Put together for $6,000 and edited on a laptop; it is really quite amazing the effect it is having.

You can see the entire film on goggle video or check out the web site:

http://www.loosechange911.com/

Worth looking at the hit counter on the bottom of the main page. Give it a few seconds and refresh (f5) and watch the numbers go up. Shows the interest in this subject.

Watch the first ten minutes alone. You may not agree the government carried  it out. But hard to deny that wasn't some knowledge prior to the event.

Makers are planning to be at Sundance next year. Amazing.....

So these days we get free Application, games, music and now movies thanks to the internet.

Time for Hollywood to adapt or lose?
