THE PIKE IN IRELAND : A (NECESSARY) REVIEW
By Frank Barbe & Shane Garrett

In one year’s research Frank Barbe and Shane Garrett have found out more about the Pike’s history in Ireland than the Irish Fisheries have managed in half a century. We urge everyone to take the time to read these fascinating articles (you can save the web pages and read off-line if required). Its seems our old friend the Pike has been living in Ireland a lot longer than a lot of people would like us to believe. What follows is clear evidence that Pike are indigenous to our Irish Loughs and Rivers. The IPS would like to thank both Shane and Frank for their very kind permission in allowing us to publish their following four articles.

Part 1: Liús..........................................................

Part 2 : Went.......................................................

Part 3 : Of Pike and Poets..................................

Part 4 : The Esox-Files Conclusions..................

Part 5 : An appendix (on environmental issues)
