Golam Head, Co. Galway

It is a long drive to get to it, you go through the islands in Galway Bay to Lettermullan. Drive over the three bridges to the very end of the road. A short distance from the end of the road you will see a sharp turn right, don't take it but drive straight ahead and keep going until you run out of road and you will see the tower ahead of you on a small island. I am told you can walk out to it at low tide.

This view is from the area you reach if you take the sharp right hand bend at the end of the road and don't drive straight ahead. You are further away, and there might be a bull in the field the grass lane goes to.
