A worker honeybee telling her sisters where home is

Here's a picture of a worker honeybee, hanging on tight as she fans her Nasonov pheromone all around her. You can see that she has bent down the last segment of her abdomen, exposing the gland underneath. This pheromone, which smells lemony to humans, tells honeybees where home is. It is particularly useful when the hive is disturbed (e.g. by the beekeeper) or when the colony is swarming.
