St. Clare's was founded in 1803 and as such is the oldest Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Dublin. The school is situated in Harolds Cross on a large and beautifully landscaped site. The aim of the school is to help the child to grow into a mature and responsible person and to develop every aspect of his or her potential. Great care is taken in the spiritual formation of the children so that they can become mature christian adults with a deep understanding of their faith.

The school is actively involved in the development of this SIP project and is currently testing and experimenting with the use of ICT in the teaching of foreign languages. The staff, under the leadership of the Principal are commited to seeing the school reap all the educational benefits that emerge from the rapid development in educational technology.
