The Ballyellis day was  especially enjoyable. We left Carnew and marched to the monument near where the battle took place, there we assembled for the wreath laying. Afterwards we entered a nearby field which sloped down to a stream and sloped up on the other side of the stream. This created a natural amphitheatre and was an ideal setting for the well delivered pageant that we were treated to. This chronicled the rising from start to finish and was appreciated by all.

I do not have a picture of our march in Ballyellis. ( Anyone out there have one? )

This is a photo of Martin Gilbert taken on the day of the Bunclody commemoration. He has made a lot of Pike heads some of which our group carry in spite of the weight.
