Strange as it may seem a heat pump

- At (A) we see the warmed refrigerent gas come in from the buried collector. Remember the earth always contains heat which the gas can absorb.
- The gas is compressed at (B) so its temperature draatically increases.
- In the plate heat exchanger the now very hot gas gives heat to he water that has returned from the house.
- Its heat load given up, the gas is decomprssed at the decompression valve where its temperature plummets to about -10°c. At this temperature the gas will absorb more heat from the comparatively warmer earth.
This process can go on & on. The heat your Heat Pump collects is constantly renewed by the sun, rain & the planets own molten core.
