The Eircom Handball finals took place in O’Loughlins in Kilkenny on Saturday 10th November. We had a Division 1 & Division 2 Competition even though some players were unable to play due to injury. Seamus Buggy & Pat Donnellan were our very capable referees on the day and after a draw for partners the Competition began with a round robin in each Division.
In Division 1 Fergal Ryan (Dublin) & Pat Collins (Tipp) set the pace by beating the favourites Eamon Conneely ( Galway)& Jim Sheridan (Mayo)  in Round 1 15/6, 15/10.  Paddy Buckley (Cork) & Denis Phelan (Galway) Beat Jim Heffernan (Dublin) & Liam Burke (Mayo) 15/9, 15/11. Conneely & Sheridan Bt Buckley & Phelan 15/2, 15/6. Ryan & Collins Beat Heffernan & Burke 15/9, 15/14. Conneely & Sheridan Beat Heffernan & Burke 15/8, 14/15, 15/11.
