History : This website has been in existance since 25th July 1999. It is an Alumni site for graduates of the Commercial Computing and Commercial Software Development Courses at Waterford Institute of Technology, from the 1995 stream of students. It is probably the most extensive Alumni website for one group of students available in Ireland, possibly the internet. There also content available for second level students who may be interested in doing the Commercial Computing course, as-well as internet and technology related content, humour sections, contests, an extensive links section, top downloads and much much more. This site is maintained by one person, Shane McDonald, but the content is submitted from all Commercial Computing / Software Development graduates, which is then posted on the website. Whats on this site : What's on this site Initially this site was a point of presence on the internet where graduates of this WIT Course could keep in touch having left college. It all started on the 25th of July 1999 when one page containing 6 e-mail addresses was posted on Eircom.net, which was at the time Tinet. CSD Polls - This section was started in November 1999 to answer a few of questions relating to the "Best of..." the past Millennium. The initial votes were compiled and placed into an off-site polling host where votes continue to be accepted. Other polls including "The Oscars" and "The Best in Irish Radio" have also been set up. Results of previous polls are also available.
