Exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke, or passive smoking as we know it, is a significant threat to the health of both adults and children. As part of our Health Promotion Strategy for the new Millennium, the Western Health Board is committed to supporting healthy lifestyle choices, with the objective of making 'the healthier choice the easier choice'.

This guide features those restaurants that have met the strict Smoke Free criteria as certified by our Environmental Health Officers. These restaurants provide a completely Smoke Free dining environment where you can savour the quality of their food without having to endure the annoying and health damaging effects of Environmental Tobacco Smoke. These restaurants provide physical separation of smoking and nonsmoking areas, which is a higher standard than current Tobacco regulations require.
