Archibald leads Lougher through the chicane but Lougher clips the edge of it and looses control of the bike sending it on its route of destruction, at its peak it was 20 feet high and in all my years at road races I had never seen a bike go so violently out of control. You can just see Loughers' leg in the frame, just in front of the bale. It is with the greatest regret that during this incident a flag marshal lost his life as a result of the bike hitting him at his post.
