Who is
he?
|

|
Stare at the
center of this man for at least 30 seconds. You'll know it's
long enough when you start to notice that the white part of the
image starts to turn a little bit gray. Then,
stare at the white section of this image (the right section).
You'll see a ghostly image of this person. Do you recognize
him?

High Society, or a
Donkey?
|
|
Look at those
shoulder pads! Wait a second, those aren't shoulder pads!
They're donkey's ears! Which leads me to my next question my
fellow ambigious optcial illusion lovers. Is this guy a member
of high society, or is he just the other word for Donkey?

Skull Table Illusion
|
|
As you first
look at this optical illusion, you will instantly see a skull
staring you in the eye. But after closer examination you'll
realize that it is actually just a few victorian women spacing
wine glasses on a table, with a round mirror in the background.

|
Face or Person
|
|
The face is
usually the first thing that you see, then if you look a little
longer, you see what appears to be a bundled up woman doing some
window shopping. Or is it an eskimo painting their igloo?

Hering
Illusion Example
|
 |
In
the Hering Illusion two straight lines run in parallel. However,
the intersecting radial lines change the appearance of these
parallel, straight lines. What occurs in your visual system that
could account for the illusory appearance these lines? |

|
The
Handy Man
|
 |
Does
this man look familiar? Look at the face! You might just see a
man with a ton of hands wrapped around his face. But you'll
instantly recognize that this is not a man at all! It is all
just a handful of hands! |

Queen
Elizabeth II |
  |
Instuctions:
Stare at the picture (on the left) for about 45 seconds. Then,
stare at the white section of this image (the right section).
You should see the Queen again. Keep your concentration, and for
those 45 seconds, don't take your eyes off the picture. |

|
Spirit
Catcher |
 |
Make
sure you are relaxed. Keep your eyes on the lighter areas where
the black lines intersect. You should probably notice circles
coming from the center of the design. The trick is that a
light color appears brighter when it contrasts against a darker
color. So, people see the areas adjacent to the intersections to
be slightly brighter, causing what appears to be circles. |

|
Hole in
your hand
|
 |
Here's
a great optical illusion you can do with an empty paper towel
tube. Hold it next to your hand and then let your eyes relax,
focus on the distance and it will appear that you are looking in
a hole in your hand! |
