CHECKLIST FOR CAMERA LOCATIONS

• Is camera internal or external?
• Environment-typical UK climate-desert-furnace, etc.
• Are there special regulations-petroleum-mining, etc.?
• Distance or distances to be viewed.
• Width or widths to be viewed
• What is required to be seen at each distance?
• Type of camera – fixed-scanning-pan, tilt, etc.
• Height of fixing.
• Method of access to camera, ladder-hoist, etc.
• Type of housing, if required.
• If external housing, is wash wipe needed?
• Type of fixing-wall-corner-pole, etc.
• If pole, is it existing or to be supplied?
• Lowest light level expected below camera.
• Lowest light level expected at halfway distance.
• Lowest light level expected at full distance.
• Length of actual cable run to control position.
• Are there cable routes available to control position?
• If necessary, is there a line of sight to control?
