On Sunday 30th July 2000, Westmeath Minor Footballers beat Dublin in the Leinster Final. After that game and before
the Senior game, Comhairle Laighean Communications Committee staged a skills demonstration to celebrate the contribution of young people and adults to the development of Gaelic Games over the past hundred years. Each county in Leinster was represented and all the young participants wore their club colours, signifying the important role of the club in our Association.Eanna Gallagher, aged 10, from Carrick, Dalystown, Mullingar represented St. Brigid’s Hurling Club on that day. He demonstrated the ground strike in hurling.
