Report:

Fenagh St. Caillins started of the new League campaign the way they finished last years - on a winning note, and in so doing obtained their first victory away to Aughawillan in a number of years.

Fenagh St. Caillins were in full control throughout the 60 minutes with the concession of three goals in the first half putting the game beyond Aughawillans reach as Fenagh went in at half-time 12 points in front on a scoreline of 3-5 to 0-2. The very wet conditions made it difficult for football to be played properly with many handling errors being made by both teams and it was the Fenagh forwards who pounced on two of these particular errors to score two goals close to half-time.

Conditions in the second half were a lot worse as the rain continued to pour down. 3 points apiece from both teams in this half left Fenagh St. Caillins convincing winners by 3-8 to 0-5.
