The choir visited Blanchardstown Hospital after school last week to sing carols for the patients there.

They certainly brightened up the day for many patients.

Peruvian Craft Sale

Ms. Reilly held a sale of Peruvian crafts in her room last week. The children loved the crafts and €2,000 was sent through the Columban Fathers (Navan) to the women in Lima, Peru, who made all the beautiful items.

Comenius Project

Four teachers from St. Ciarán’s went to visit one of our partner schools for the project in Poland. While there they visited classrooms and shared ideas and experiences with the teachers.
Children from the participating classes have been making Christmas cards and sending them to schools in Belgium, Norway and Poland.
Some children also had an opportunity to visit the National Gallery in November as part of a study on the painting of Jack B. Yeats.
This is all part of an exchange of cultural awareness which is at the heart of the Comenius Project.

Draíocht

The 3 sixth classes visited Draíocht earlier this month to see the fantastic art collection entitled
“Looking at you, Looking at me”, which is currently on display.
All paintings are self-portraits from artists both living and dead.
