History of the school
St. Clare's Primary School was founded in 1803 as a residential school for homeless girls. In 1951 the school was opened as a day school. The school today is co- educational.
The school is situated on a superb 2.5 acre site, in the southern outskirts of Dublin City centre. The school celebrates it's bicentenary this year. It has been established for 200 years .
