Stet Engineeringis a toolmaking company engaged principally in the manufacture of PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDS. Our client range includes major companies in the computer, telephone, automotive and medical industries. It also includes many smaller companies producing a diverse range of products. We have supplied moulds to the Irish, European and American markets and are, therefore, familiar with the different requirements of each of these markets.
Due to our continued investment in new technology and equipment we can offer several services separately or in conjunction with the manufacture of injection moulds.
The company was formed in 1977 to cater for the many multinational companies that had begun operations in Ireland. Originally situated in the centre of Sligo, in 1981 Stet moved into a purpose-built premises in Finisklin Industrial Estate. In 1987 this was expanded to 14,000 square feet.
Through the period 1981 to 1990 considerable skill was developed in the use of CAD/CAM systems by company design and craft personnel. In the period 1990 to 1992 all CAD/CAM facilities were updated with considerable investment in software (Autocad/Smartcam) and computer hardware.
Recently (1996), STET has made an investment in 3D CAD/CAM by purchasing DUCT. This allows us to model even the most complex surfaces and produce CNC code.
