Paper is made from wood. Trees are chopped down to make paper. But once one tree has been chopped down it takes many years for a new one to grow in its place. One way to help solve this problem is to recycle paper. This means mashing up old paper and making it into new clean sheets of paper. Rags and cloth can also be recycled to make paper. They are washed and bleached and pulled into threads. Then the threads are used to help make some sorts of paper.
