LITTER CONTROL

 

Last year we received a present of 6 litter pickers from the County Council. Mrs. McCrohan split the school into groups. Each group had a turn to help the environment and pick up litter. When we went outside there was a lot of litter it was quite hard because the litter from the main road and the boys school blew in. We also found most of the litter around in the yard beside the bins! Around the front a lot of the litter was found under the planters and in the flower bed. Every week the groups would change. At the moment 3^rd class are on litter duty. They are doing a great job.

Litter  Pickers

  We got litter pickers from Laois County Council last year.

It was much easier to get the litter because we didn't have to bend down.

We liked the job because we could talk to our friends as well. I thought it was a great idea.
