“Dear Grace” National Prize Winning Letter

Hello and welcome.

This is JCC fm broadcasting live from Dundalk. My name is Jay and today I would like to welcome Angel Readings who are here to help us contact someone from the spirit world who is interested in finding out what has happened since they left this world. Angel Readings are sitting around a table chanting something in Hebrew. They have handed me a piece of paper with the name Grace written on it. Grace if you are here how many fingers I am  holding up.

GRACE: two

Oops sorry Grace, I was just being rude to the window cleaner, moving swiftly on. Is there anything you would like to know about Dundalk?

GRACE: What is the name of the building where you go in for free and you have to pay to get out.

Well Grace, that new building is called the Marshes Shopping centre, it would be better located in Heaven because you would need wings to get around it.

GRACE: Why do people pay to park?

Well Grace, That’s a very easy question to answer. When people want to park their car, they have to pay to get a ticket. If  they don’t get a ticket, the traffic warden will give them a ticket, then they have to go down to the council offices to get another ticket so they can sit and wait  until they are called  to the counter to pay for their ticket.

GRACE: Who do you think will win the 36th Ryder Cup?

Golf is not one of my best subjects but I do know that the best European Players, such as Padraig Harrington and Darren Clarke will take on the USA at the K club in Straffan, Co. Kildare. New Captain, Ian Woosnam, is hoping to make history by completing a hat trick with a white rabbit. Michael Jackson is going to watch the birdies and Europe do not want to win again because when they brought the last two Ryder Cups home, they found a hole in one.

GRACE: Where is the best place in Dundalk to eat out?

Well that is a bit of a tricky question because if I wanted to eat out I would have to go out, then go in and order, and come back out to eat out, so why bother.

GRACE: Which is the best school in Dundalk?

AHH, the Friary is best I have no doubt. If you’re not willing to work, they will throw you out. When I leave the school, I will walk out real manly. All thanks to the principal, who is Mr. Stanley. The teachers who taught me said I was the best, If only the same could be said for the rest.

GRACE: Tell me a little about yourself?

I live at home with my parents and my two brothers. I am older than them. I mean my brothers not my parents, obviously my parents are older than me, Ha! Ha! Ha. I am tall, with striking good looks. I love watching TV and playing the PS1, PS2, PSP, NDS, and the Xbox 360 but not together at the same time because that would be crazy I would not be able to concentrate. I enjoy listening to music on my I pod and my Stereo but I found it much easier to carry the I pod around, I found the Stereo would not fit into any of my pockets and my shoulders hurt carrying it. I love reading and writing although I try not to write when I am reading as the book gets messed up. I swim like an Anchor, and I run like the wind on a very calm day. I like my friends and I dislike my enemies although I think my enemies dislike me more otherwise they would be my friends. I think that is enough about me, I could go on talking all night long but let’s take a little bit of time to talk about you, What do you think of me?

GRACE: I think you are okay, now lets continue. What is your view on the war in Iraq .

I can’t stand violence, I think that whoever invented war should be hung, drawn and quartered. I also think that if a person punches you in the eye, you should turn that blind eye and run to the chemist to get an ice pack. Bush does not need war, he needs pruning.

GRACE: If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?

I think I would defiantly change change especially the 5 cents, 2 cents and 1 cent because you can never see what they are, you never know where they are and no matter how many times you spend them, they keep coming back.

GRACE: If you could be anyone in the world for just one day, who would that person be, any why.

I would like to be Bono from U2 because I would be better than the real thing. I would have a beautiful day. I would not get stuck in a moment that I can’t get out of. I would be staring at the sun wondering if there was going to be an electrical storm. I would stay wide awake in America and party all night with an Angel of Harlem.

GRACE: What would you do if you won the lottery tomorrow.

I would put an end to poverty at home by shopping in TESCO and buying enough food to fill the fridge/freezer. I would buy Ballygowen shares and give them to people on tap. I would milk my way into the farming industry. I would go green and become the incredible hulk. I would pay Johnny Cash to walk the line. I would phone Elton John and tell him his candle won’t light in the wind. I would send Tinky Winky , Dipsy, La La and Po to a speech therapist. I would tell Bob the Builder if he can’t fix it I will just have to get someone else. I would give 50 cent a couple of euro. I would buy Osama Bin Laden a shovel to get him out of a hole.

GRACE: What  d..  yo…..in….. glo……..arm…… an…do…

I’m sorry Grace, I can’t make out the question, I seem to be losing you. Grace, are you there. Angel Readings have handed me a piece of paper saying that Grace has left the building, so before I end my show, I would like to thank Grace for making this program happen, without her we would have nothing, I would also like to thank Angel Readings for bringing Grace to us. Tune in next week to see if Angel Readings can bring Elvis Presley into our studio, Good luck.

                                                            Best Regards,

                                                                   Jordan
