never beat the Friary” Our Under 13 footballers, managed by Mr. Farrell, defeated C.B.S.
Drogheda by a single point on Saturday 13th of October to become
Louth Urban Champions. Friary took an early lead and dominated the first
half, helped by a light wind and the sustained heroics of goalkeeper Ryan.
The second half brought out the best in C.B.S. who narrowed the margin to one
point in injury time in what must have been one of the most entertaining
finals played in years.
