On August 15th 2002 St. Mary's GAA Club , Athenry opened it's new clubhouse and pitch at Carnaun. President of the GAA Mr. Sean Kelly was special guest and did the honour of cutting the tape. The clubhouse consists of two dressing rooms, a sauna, kitchen, medical room, meeting room and a fully equiped gym. It is without doubt the biggest undertaking the club has ever being involved in and places the club amongst the best in the country.
