Who are the Choir? Continued....

So far the main work of the Choir has been the regular 'Nights of Soul'. Our own term for the Concert mix of Gospel/ Soul/ Rock and Pop Music and Drama we provide. These 'Nights' take place about twice a month either here in Dublin or around the Country. Equally at home in both Sacred and Secular settings, on every occasion we have packed out our venues and we are taking bookings for those venues which have requested performances right up to August 2001. This continued success has attracted growing attention of late. As Irelandıs only Touring Youth Gospel Choir we are regularly featured on T.V, Radio and in the Newspapers. Perhaps the most celebrated of our performances so far being in June of 1997. On that occasion the Choir backed Celine Dion in her sell-out World Tour Concert in Landsdowne Road before an audience of almost forty thousand people.

Some of the highlights of the Choirıs resume include being asked to back Mr. Marc Roberts in the Interval Act of the Eurosong Competition broadcast live from RTE in March 1998. The response to this was so good that we then appeared twice on the Summer Saturday Show and once on the Pat Kenny Show. On Radio we were one of the featured groups on the FM 104 Strawberry Alarm Clock breakfast show in their "Live and Unplugged" slot. Audience response to that performance was so good we were asked to support the Strawberries on their Christmas Eve Special for both Christmas 1998 & 1999 and were officially adopted by the "Strawberries" as friends of the Show. We have also performed for the National Concert Hall and, by her invitation, for the President in Aras an Uachtarain. We finished 1998 with a Christmas Concert of Hope for the victims of Northern Violence held in Armagh Cathedral. On that occasion we were supported by former Eurovision Song Contest Winner Niamh Kavanagh and 'Dove'. To finish 1999 we were asked back to the Aras to usher in the Millennium with the President and her family. Singing for the lighting of the National Millennium candle.
