St. Patrick

St. Patrick he was the man. There's millions of stories of Saint Patrick and here's mine. St. Patrick was a young boy who didn’t like school. He wanted to be a farmer and work with his dad. His dad said no go to school so Patrickdid what he was told but on the weekends he worked on the farm. Even when he was swamped with homework he found time. And when he was sixteen he was taken away by Niall of the nine hostages. He was sold to Milchiu Chieftain of Antrim. He was sent to mind pigs up a mountain called Sliebh Mis in Ireland. You think he'd be happy now no homework working on a farm with pigs but Patrick was unhappy.

He prayed every night. He also had visions of a ship in Carlingford. The ship would take him home. He walked all the way to Carlingford. True there was a ship, he got on but pirates raided the ship. They used him like he was their cooking, cleaning lady. He escaped one night but he ended up no where near Wales but in France. He got another boat back to Wales. His family said don’t leave us again. But Patrick had more visions of Irish kids saying help us. So Patrick became a priest and then a bishop. He then went on to Ireland where he taught people and turned them Christian and then chased the snakes out of Ireland and became our Patron Saint. So we celebrate his death. It is on the 17th of March a national holiday where people march in parades or do something fun to celebrate. Patrick you’re the man

St.Patricks day

Saint Patrick was born in Britain. He lived in Wales.

Pirates called Niall of the nine hostages sold Patrick to a man called Milchiu chieftain in Antrim .He spent 6 years in Sliabh Mis . He heard voices calling him outside saying there was a boat waiting for you. You can go home .

Every day he had to mind pigs and cows so he went on the boat and escaped to France. A tale was told that he drowned snakes from Ireland in the sea. St. Patrick's name in Latin is Patricus. St Patrick says about the shamrock that there are three people in one God that each sideof a shamrock is like when you bless your self you say the father the son and the holy spirit.

St Patrick once climbed Croagh Patrick so people now

climb it even sometimes in their bare feet.

St Patrick is a very holy man.

St Patrick

St Patrick worked on his father's farm in Wales. One day Irish pirates took him away to Ireland. He was sold as a slave to Milchiu the chieftain. He minded pigs for six years. He began to get lonely as he had no-one to talk to except the other slaves who went up to give him food. Even though now he could speak Irish so he talk to the slaves he still cried for his family. He began to pray to God and he felt a bit better. One night he had a dream that voices were telling him to go to Carlingford. St Patrick had a feeling that God was sending a message to him. He listened to the voices and he walked down to Carlingford. The voices were right there was a ship but the captain wouldn't let him on. Patrick went away and prayed.

Eventually the captain let him on but only to find out it was run by pirates. The pirates kept him as a slave for two months. Luckily Patrick escaped in France. He went back to Wales from there.

His family were delighted to see him and ordered him never to go again, but Patrick felt like he had to help the Irish people. He went back to school and became a priest. A while after he became a bishop. He went back to Ireland and preached about God. Soon enough most of the Irish became Catholics. St Patrick is now the patron saint of Ireland. This is all thanks to St Patrick.
