Use it also to send queries -- you may like a list of your classmates at your old alma mater, for example. Trying to trace the whereabouts of an old school pal? We may know. Maybe you would like to tell us where you are and to send regards.
Sr. Mary Angela Foody and John Joe Foody |
Stephen Foody |
Two very welcome past pupils dropped in to see us on 22/10/'01. Sr. Angela Foody (England) and her brother John Joe (New York) were home on a short holiday to their native Stokane, and kindly gave us permission to post their photos on the site for a limited period of time. John Joe appeared on the "Western People" some years ago -- he was chairman of the Sligomen's Association in New York at the time, and he led the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York that year. Sr. Angela (formerly Mary Foody) has worked most of her adult life in England and has no regrets entering or serving with the Order of Jesus and Mary. We thank them both for the time they spent with us and for the big bags of sweets they gave us.
Referendum day, March 6th 2002 came and we had a welcome visit from Stephen Foody, of LA, whose grandfather, Martin Joe Foody of Stokane, was enrolled in this school from 12th August 1908 until 7th June 1921. Stephen's father, Martin, lives in San Clemente, California. Stephen works for Fox TV, and may be contacted at: stevefoody@hotmail.com
John Joe Brennan from Melbourne visited the school with his wife and presented us with a beautiful set of encyclopaedia. John Joe is a past pupil of Stokane N.S.
Fr. Michael Foody calls to the school when he's home on holidays from the missions in Brazil. It's a long way to Brazil and just as long coming home. Fr. Michael is a past pupil of Stokane N.S.
