PROGRAMMING AN RCX
A program is built using bricks which fit like jig-saw pieces one under
the other.
We start our program by dragging a jig-saw piece from the COMMANDS
stack and docking it under
PROGRAM
UNTITLED
To turn on some motors, we drag the on piece and dock it under
PROGRAM
UNTITLED
Next we right click the on piece to decide what is to be turned
on.
|
|
The on piece flips over when we right click it, and it zooms
out to offer choices on what to turn on. The RCX has three outputs which
means it can switch on or off power to three different circuits.
These are A, B and C.
Just click the box beside the letters to toggle the outputs on or off,
and click the tick to finish. If we wish, we can add more pieces underneath
the on jig-saw piece.
|
Right click on PROGRAM to get to the save menu or
to download it to the RCX.
Once downloaded, it can control the devices attached to the RCX.
Could it be simpler?
LEGO Mindstorms RIS comes with easy to follow instructions on how to
do all kinds of different projects.
