In 5^th and 6^th class we have learned about History and Geography through projects.

 We have learned about :-The Siege of Derry, The Glorious Revolution, James The Second, the Battle of the Boyne, Patrick Sarsfield, The Treaty of Limerick, William of Orange, the French Revolution, the American Revolution, Daniel O’ Connell, Robert Emmett, Theobald Wolfe Tone, The United Irishmen, The Famine, e.t.c.

  In Geography/Nature we did a Nature Project on plants, Volcanoes, U.S.A. and more. We have just studied the Great Famine. It is about the Irish peoples potatoes that failed after they had worked so hard to Grow them. Their food stores had started rotting in the cellars and that started the famine. We have competitions for the best projects.
