Students are encouraged to participate in organized team
games.
During the past ten years our Gaelic Football and Hurling
teams have been very successful at all levels in
Leinster Colleges Competitions.
Rugby is also firmly established in the school and
regular coaching sessions are organized through the Leinster Branch. Jim
Harnett (Residental Development Officer) and Stephen Beggy (Regional
DevelopmentOfficer) of Navan Rugby Club coach teams twice a week. Teams
from St. Pats compete in the Leinster Junior and Senior Cups. Seamus Peppard
is the first year coach.
Athletics has always been a feature of the sporting
life of the school. This year a new competition in Cross Country Running
will be organized for 1st and 2nd years. The school will participate in
the Coolmine Invitational Cross Country as well as the North Leinster Championship.
An Irish Olympic coach will coach Jumpers and Throwers for one period a
week.
