Mayo's
first surf school, established in 1998, SURFMAYO
one of the first surf schools and surf hire companies
established in Ireland.
Since these early years surfing has grown from just
a few groups of hard core lads and lasses to now
something that everyone has seen, heard about or
experienced for themselves.
Owned and run by born-and-bred local Mayo surfer
Emmet Heneghan who has over 20 years of surfing
experience to his credit.
SURFMAYO caters for all ages and abilities in
surfing. Whether you are a complete beginner,
improver or advanced surfer, we offer professional
surf coaching and equipment to suit all needs.
We will listen to you and work into your surfing
session any equipment or coaching requirements
that you may have into your surfing session. We
have at hand some of Irelands finest surf coaches
who are fully trained lifeguards and highly experienced
surfers. We only work with the very best in surf
equipment available, with 14 years of research
and testing we have sourced our equipment from
the worlds leading surf companyies in Hawaii,
California and Australia. Our surf school is open
7 days a week, 12 months of the year, surf conditions
permitting (except for Christmas week).
So let's go! Individuals, groups, families, friends,

young and old you are all welcome to taste the
