Carolines competition - the World Championships - is on 6/7th December in Queenstown, New Zealand. She is due to leave for there Tuesday 25th Nov. The website
where details can be found on the event is: The site gives excellent
profiles of the Elite Cycle Course. The course seems
tough: a bit like 7 laps that include two or three
Ardgillens each lap. At the end of the domestic season
Caroline took a month off in order to recuperate. Since
the middle of October she has been out with the Sunday
and Thursday groups regularly. Other spins in between
included yo-yoing up and down Ardgillen. I remember that
well as I was brave, or foolhardy enough to accompany her
on an odd Tuesday. Caroline has taken a year off college
in order to maximise her potential in her chosen
discipline. I know that all in our club will wish this
determined girl every success. |
