An Adventure at Sea

“Dad!” I called, “Adam and I are taking the boat out for a spin ok?” “Ok be careful”, came the reply. Adam and I have been best friends for a long time and we always go fishing together. About half an hour later we were sitting on the boat, our lines cast, when suddenly I felt a pull.  I had sort of dozed off but I stood up instantly alert. “This is a big’un” I cried. Strangely the fish (or so I thought) wasn’t struggling to get free. It was a crate. I got Adam to help me haul it aboard. It was frightfully heavy and bound in ropes. Adam soon freed it with his pen-knife that he used to normally gut fish. Eventually we prised it open and it was crammed full of jewels! We raced back to my dad. He estimated the value at about one hundred million! Adam and I are now living in mansions beside the beach in Miami, where it’s a good deal hotter than Ireland.
