Under 10 Football
Victory
The under 10 football team made it two good weeks in a row for Bord na nÓg by winning the Sarsfields Tournament on Sunday morning in Parc Charman. Taghmon/Camross beat Bannow/Ballymitty in the final by 2-6 to 0-3. The team was Mark Kelly, Eddie O’Gorman, Aidan Whitty, John Doyle, Robert Nolan, Richard Comerford, Seamus McLoughlin (1-2), Callum Ennis (0-2), Patrick Walsh (0-1), Tont Kent (1-1), and Padraic O’Gorman, and was supported by 17 subs. The selectors were Derek Kent and Tom O’Gorman. The club thanks Allen Technology of Wexford for the generous sponsorship of kit, including new socks and knicks, for the team.
Junior Football
The junior football team continued preparations for the county final with a challenge match against Castletown seniors on Saturday. We were very unlucky to lose by a scoreline of 1-7 to 1-10 when Castletown scored a last minute goal. The Taghmon/Camross scorers were Joe Doyle (1-5), Derek Kent (0-1) and Ger Power (0-1). Man of the match was full back Darragh Kelly who held Castletown dangerman and former Wexford hurler, Eamonn Scallan, to a point from play.
Lotto
At the Lotto draw last week in Rochford’s of Camross the winning numbers were 5, 9, 18, and 26. There was no jackpot winner and 38 match 3 winners. Ten bottles of whiskey were added as extra prizes for Christmas. The next draw will be held earlier than normal because of Christmas in Tom Carty’s in Taghmon on Monday December 21. Ten bottles of whiskey will again be added as prizes and the jackpot is now £4,100.
