Hurling
A New Ross district junior hurling league starts next week. Taghmon-Camross fixtures are July 7 at Horeswood, and home fixtures on July 10 against Bannow-Ballymitty and July 14 against Clongeen.
The U-14 hurlers defeated Wicklow 3-4 to 1-1. They lost narrowly to Davidstown-Courtnacuddy 0-3 to 0-1. A superb display of free taking by Aindreas Doyle and a fine goal by James Green were the highlights of a victory by 4-7 to 1-1 over Sligo. The club thanks all those who helped out with the Féile. It was a great success. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the president may have been witness to an unusual astronomical event at the parade in Enniscorthy. The moon was seen rising under the Taghmon-Camross banner in the middle of the day.
