Hurling
The first hurling team drew with Clonard 3-8 to 3-8 in Coolcotts on Saturday evening. The result means that if the 2 teams win their last matches both may have to play again to decide who get promoted and qualifies for the final. The scorers for Taghmon/Camross were Gearóid Kelly (2-0), Robbie O'Callaghan (0-4, frees), Derek Kent (1-0), Joe Doyle (0-2), Nicky Cousins and Michael O'Sullivan (0-1 each).
Football League climax
The final round of matches in the ACFL takes place this weekend. The first team requires a result in the match at home on Saturday against Glynn/Barntown to survive in Premier A. The second team plays away to Réalt na Mara on Tuesday evening. The team will qualify for the final and promotion with a win.
