Hurling

The first hurling team completed its league programme on Sunday to qualify for the division final against Clonard with a good win, 4-12 to 0-4 at Marshalstown (HT 3-6 to 0-2). The team was helped by Eoin Leacy's return from injury and the completion of leaving certificate allowing the selection of minor players. The scorers for Taghmon/Camross were Gearóid Kelly (3-1), David Morrissey (1-0), Robbie O'Callaghan (0-3), Adrian Morrissey (0-3), Bernard O'Gorman, Derek Breen, Jonathon Waters, Michael O'Sullivan and Joe Doyle (0-1 each).

Football

The second football team lost the last game of the season at Ballygarret in wet blustery conditions last Tuesday evening by 0-9 to 0-6 (HT 0-7 to 0-4). The scorers were Malcolm McLoughlan (0-3), Nicolas Cousins (0-2), Jonathon Waters (0-1).

Minor Football Champions

The club is the County Roinn 2 minor football champion having beaten Kilmore last Thursday more decisively than the 1-9 to 1-6 suggests. Adrian Morrissey was selected Wexford Creamery Man of the Match after scoring 0-8 of the total. The remainder was scored by Paul Doyle (1-0) and Eoin Leacy (0-1). The club thanks Tom's Tavern, Glanbia Taghmon, Tom Nash and A&M Hardware for generous sponsorship of the team's final expenses.
