Relegation Final

Taghmon/Camross return to Intermediate ranks for the first time since 1984 after losing the relegation final to Naomh Eanna at St. Patrick’s Park on Saturday by 1-9 to 1-6.  Taghmon dominated the first half with strong performances by Jason McLoughlan and Bernard O’Gorman but failed to score enough and at half time led by 0-5 to 0-4.  Shortly after Jason McLoughlan put Taghmon 2 points ahead with his fourth point from play, the Goreymen scored a goal to take the lead and went on to dominate most of the second half increasing the lead to 6 points.  Taghmon fought back and a superb goal by substitute, Gearoid Kelly, cut the lead in half but time ran out on senior football in the parish of Taghmon.  Jason McLoughlan (0-5), Gearoid Kelly (1-0), George Dee (0-1).
